The US software giant Electronic Data Systems (EDS) has acquired a 7 per cent stake in Irish travel software group Datalex after buying Swissair's Atraxis for around $50 million (€55.7 million). Atraxis is involved in reservations software and its assets include the 7 per cent stake in Datalex, which will report third-quarter results today.

For today's Datalex third-quarter results, Goodbody expects little good news, with revenues of $5.4 million and adjusted losses of 23.7 US cents per American Depositary Share. The broker also expects an exceptional charge of $36.5 million - comprising $35 million in goodwill write-offs and a $1.5 million restructuring charge.
