EBS Building Society has followed the industry trend and announced a 0.75 of a percentage point reduction in its variable home loan rate to 6.35 per cent (6.5 per cent APR). Fixed interest rates have also been reduced. Rates for new business came into effect from close of business yesterday, while existing customers will benefit from November 1st.
