A three-judge panel in the Tenth Circuit Court of Criminal Appeal in Denver, Colorado, reserved its decision yesterday in a case where a Cork-born financier, Mr Finbarr Ross, is resisting his extradition to Northern Ireland.
The panel heard 15 minutes of legal submission each from counsel for Mr Ross and the US government during the hearing. Written legal submissions had been given to the court earlier. A court clerk said it could be weeks or even months before a decision was published.
Mr Ross is wanted in Northern Ireland to face 41 fraud charges relating to the collapse of his company, International Investments Ltd, in 1984.
