Home Store and More comes to Blackrock

Irish retailer is to take space in the former Debenhams store in the Frascati Centre

Home Store and More, the Irish homeware retailer, has agreed to take about 23,000sq ft (2,137sq m) of space at the former Debenhams in Frascati Centre, Blackrock.

The move is a major boon for the suburban shopping centre, also home to Marks & Spencer and Aldi, which recently underwent a €30 million programme of extension and refurbishment. The former Debenhams store, located on the ground and lower ground floor of the Frascati Centre, has lain vacant since the UK chain went into liquidation back in 2020.

Home Store and More’s new outlet will be its 23rd in Ireland, and will be its first-ever shopping centre store, as it traditionally trades in retail park locations, including Castlebar Retail & Business Park and Blanchardstown Retail Park.

Home Store and More chief operating officer Tristan Geoghegan said: "Since opening our first unit in 2004, we have seen our business grow extensively nationwide. I would like to thank all our colleagues for their hard work, which has enabled us to become Ireland's leading independent homeware retailer."

It’s understood that Home Store and More is taking a long-term lease, and landlord works are to commence on getting the space ready for possession in the first quarter of this year. It is expected that the new store will be open and trading by the end of this year.

Bernadine Hogan, head of retail with CBRE, and joint leasing agent for the scheme, said: "We are delighted to bring this first-class retailer to Frascati, which will further strengthen the tenant mix and offering for the centre to the wider catchment. This will be Home Store and More's second south city side store which should capture a lot of existing and new customers".

The arrival of Home Store and More follows several recent openings, including F45 Training, Yogahub and Camile Thai.
