BUPA Ireland has appointed Ms Bronagh Twomey product manager with responsibility for new products and services, and implementing marketing programmes. She formerly worked for Masterfoods Ireland. Bates Ireland, the advertising agency, has appointed Ms Regine Penderson as art director and Ms Dara Daly as copywriter. The Irish Insurance Federation, the trade body for insurance companies, has appointed Mr Martin Long as public relations officer. Mr Martin was formerly an associate director with Bill O'Herlihy Communications.

Ms Angela Brady has been appointed deputy director of Shell LiveWIRE, Irish Shell's programme to help young entrepreneurs to set up a business. Ms Brady previously held the position of administration manager, sales & marketing, with Greengage, a division of Johnson Brothers. Gunne Commercial, part of estate agency Gunne, has appointed Mr Paul Culhane director, funding/development, Mr Willie Dowling director, agency services, and Mr Ronan Webster director, investment. Mr George McCullagh, formerly chief executive at Brown Thomas, has been appointed non-executive chairman, and Mr Ted Webster, a director of the London-based Richard Ellis St Quintin, has been appointed non-executive director. Ms Ruth McCarthy has been appointed business development manager of the Interiors Trading Company, part of McNally Design Group. She was formerly a business development executive in the Spanish and Portuguese markets for Moffett Engineering. Young Advertising has appointed Mr Gerard Roe senior art director with responsibility for Bulmers Cider, RTE, the AA, Bridgestone/Firestone and Grants of Ireland. Mr Roe was a triple award winner at the 1999 Outdoor Media Association poster awards. Mr Patrick Geraghy has been appointed art director.

As part of a restructuring process, Dublin Chamber of Commerce has appointed Ms Mairead Owens director of marketing and membership services. She is currently director of development at Dublin City University. Mr Declan Martin has been appointed director of policy, campaigns and lobbying.
