The group managing director of Ardagh, the glass bottle manufacturers, has increased his stake in the company by 70 per cent, announcing the purchase of 133,740 shares yesterday at a price of £1.00 (#1.27) each, as part of a share option scheme.
Ardagh's share price closed up 27.5p yesterday at £1.58 (#2).
