German shares were little changed in after hours trading, with little investor interest against the background of an uncertain dollar. There was relief at the out come of the Russian election although prices will be influenced in, the short term by the imminent expiry of the June Dax futures contract.
Paris CAC-40: 2113.04 (+1.26)
The Paris market finished higher in quiet trading, continuing the consolidation that became the pattern last week. Dealers said they expected further modest gains over the rest of the week, with German money supply figures the only possible negative factor. Yesterday's stars were Sodexho, which jumped sharply on good first half results and Bic, which was bought overseas.

Italian stocks ended more than a half point higher on the day but all eyes were focused on midweek with macroeconomic and inflation figures due and the forthcoming mini budget expected, traders said.
