FUNDS managed by AIB Investment Managers have sold almost one third of their holdings in packaging group Clondalkin, AIBIM has disclosed in a notification to the Stock Exchange.
Last Monday, AIBIM sold 1.94 million shares 4.65 per cent of the total Clondalkin equity to bring its stake down to 4.3 million shares or 10.34 per cent of the total. The price was not disclosed, but the only deals in Clondalkin last Monday were at 520p. This suggests that Clondalkin realised nearly £10 million on the sale of the Clondalkin shares.
In a separate notification, Irish Life has disclosed that it sold over 421,000 Clondalkin shares last week just over 1 per cent of the total. This brings Irish Life's stake in Clondalkin down to 2.9 million shares or just under 7 per cent of the total.
