An additional £2.75 million (€3

An additional £2.75 million (€3.49 million) to help support in-company research has been announced by the Minister of State for Commerce, Science and Technology, Mr Noel Treacy. The EU funding comes under the Research Technology and Innovation (RTI) programme which co-funds research costs and the decision to provide additional cash was taken at the Industry Monitoring Committee meeting held recently. This committee is made up of members from the European Commission, Government departments and agencies and the social partners.
