Surface Laptop Studio: The most attention-grabbing new Windows 11 device

It is intended as an evolution of the Surface Book, though the screen doesn’t detach

Windows 11 is coming, and to coincide with the release early next month, Microsoft has unveiled a range of new Surface devices. The Surface Laptop Studio is probably the most attention-grabbing of the lot. It is intended as an evolution of the Surface Book, and switches between workstation mode, stage mode and studio mode. That means it can be used as a traditional laptop complete with keyboard, in a halfway house mode for watching movies, or flat, in a tablet mode. The key difference between this and the Surface Book is that the screen doesn't detach from the keyboard. Microsoft has also built in storage and charging for the new Surface Slim Pen 2, which will be a must for those who are buying the device for its studio mode.
