Ed Dunlop already has one Classic in the bag and is harbouring hopes of quickly adding to his haul after the convincing victory of Zaajer at York yesterday.
The colt was able to secure the Michael Seely Memorial Glasgow Stakes despite being short of his best, according to his trainer. The victory leaves Zaajer as a possible contender for the Vodafone Derby or its Chantilly equivalent .
Dunlop won France's 1,000 Guineas with Ta Rib and at present favours the Chantilly Classic. But with owner Hamdan Al Maktoum thinly-represented at Epsom, Zaajer may take his place in the line-up.
Godolphin's Mukhalif was sent off favourite, but he had no answer to the late flourish of Zaajer.
