LORCAN WYER is aiming to be back in action again on Monday after picking up an injury on his comeback ride on Tuesday. He has been temporarily grounded as a result of banging his left leg after his mount My Vantage cannoned into another horse at the start of the bumper race at Market Rasen.

Wyer said: "There's still a bit of swelling in my lower leg and ankle and I wouldn't think I'll be riding this weekend."

The 32 year old had been on the sidelines for three months after suffering horrific facial injuries, a fractured pelvis, and broken collarbone in a fall from Thornton Gate at Aintree.

Wyer's latest setback means he will miss the ride on exciting novice chaser Simply Dashing. Russ Garritty deputises at Haydock.
