Ulster retain youths title

ULSTER successfully defended their youths interprovincial golf championship title at Clandeboye over the weekend.

Yesterday, in miserable conditions, the Northern team beat Leinster by seven matches to two after overcoming Cork on Friday and Munster on Saturday.

After winning two of the morning foursomes yesterday and sharing the other Ulster swept to four big wins in the afternoon singles. It was a bad weekend for Munster, who were beaten by 5 1/2 matches to 3 1/2 by Connacht yesterday. Munster also lost to the other two provinces.
