Lazio and Tottenham will face a disciplinary hearing over behaviour by their fans during their Europa League match in Rome in November, Uefa said in a statement yesterday.

Uefa said the Italian hosts had been charged over racist chanting by their fans, missile-throwing and also because their team arrived late at the Stadio Olimpico.

Tottenham face charges related to crowd disturbances. A group of Lazio supporters chanted “Juden Tottenham” (“Jews Tottenham”) in German when the game got under way and unfurled a banner saying “Free Palestine”.
