Tote Cesarewitch winner Turnpole is set to make a return to jumping at Wetherby next month, Mary Reveley revealed yesterday. The six-year-old, who landed the £75,000-added handicap by a length and three quarters from Top Cees at Newmarket on Saturday, is likely to head for the West Yorkshire Hurdle on November 1st. But plans for a switch to fences are likely to be put on hold. "He was going to go novice chasing but I don't know what we will do now," the trainer admitted.
"He will probably run in the pattern hurdle over three miles at Wetherby but he just won't jump hurdles properly. He jumps like a buck at home but when he is racing he just ignores them."
