Tryphaena the choice in feature

It's pretty mundane at Downpatrick this afternoon where the feature is a 0-75 handicap with the rather grand title of Ulster Cesarewitch.

Whatever the handle, there is still £7,500 to be fought for and while the standard may not be earth shattering, it is still a trappy looking race.

However, marginal preference is for the horse that finished third in that Tramore event Tryphaena. Previously a winner at Galway and Wexford, Tryphaena should prefer the better going in the north and is just given the nod.

Clanlucky disappointed behind Asas at Dundalk but previously was a distance winner at Kilbeggan and a return to that sort of form would make him hard to beat in the handicap hurdle.

Molly-O was decent third to Dee-One-O-One at Roscommon and off a rating of 68 should give her supporters a good run in the conditions race while Too Many Chiefs should come on from a fifth to The Tollah at Kilbeggan to take a hand in the Beginners Chase.
