All-Ireland Colleges SF A Semi-finals/Tralee CBS 1-13 St Patrick's Navan 1-7:Tralee CBS upset the odds with a power-packed second-half effort, despite being reduced to 14 men, when they eliminated the favourites, St Patrick's, Navan, at Templemore on Saturday.

Tralee, playing with the wind in the first half, landed three points through corner forward Alan O'Donoghue, while Barry John Walsh (two) and Benny Dillon and Barry John Keane (one each) helped put them 0-7 to 0-5 ahead at the interval.

Brian Sheridan, with two frees, and Darragh Smyth (0-3) had St Patrick's in front as Tralee had full back Joe Scully sent off in controversial circumstances on the stroke of half-time.

Tralee produced a vintage display of possession football and despite an early Patrick O'Rourke goal, St Patrick's were never in the game. O'Donoghue continued to post superb points and once Benny Dillon finished a Keane cross to the Navan net, Tralee CBS ran out six-point winners. They meet Omagh in the final.
