Golf:Rory McIlroy has been drawn alongside Luke Donald and Lee Westwood for the first two rounds of this week's WGC-Cadillac Championship in Florida. McIlroy, golf's latest world number one, will go toe-to-toe with Donald, who he deposed at the top of the rankings, as well as renewing an increasingly acrimonious rivalry with Westwood.

McIlroy’s win at the Honda Classic on Sunday took him ahead of Donald in the rankings. The Englishman was not in action in Florida but wasted little time congratulating the Irish youngster, encouraging him to “enjoy the view” via twitter.

Westwood’s response was markedly different, with McIlroy’s former stablemate admitting the 22-year-old has a “fairly bright future” but preferring to focus on his own final round of 63, his lowest ever score on the PGA Tour. "I'm not going to talk about another player am I,” he added, “when I have just shot 63".

The two met in the semi-finals of the WGC World Match Play less than a fortnight ago, a match McIlroy won despite trailing by three after just four holes. Westwood, stung by the defeat, pointed to a slice of McIlroy luck on the 11th hole and will no doubt relish another opportunity to get one over on his younger rival at the TPC Blue Monster in Doral.
