The IRFU have amended the rules - Regulation 12.6 to be precise - governing the AIB League to facilitate the postponement of three matches on Saturday December 12th.
Because of Munster's involvement in the quarter-finals of the European Cup on Sunday December 13th against Colomiers in France, the Shannon-Garryowen, Terenure College-Young Munster and Cork Constitution-Ballymena games have been postponed.
It is expected that these matches will be played on Saturday January 30th. Shannon and Terenure College were due to meet that day but their fixture may be brought forward sevens days.
The IRFU are expected to confirm such a proposal later this week.
