You might have noticed that Juventus had difficulty keeping 11 men on the field for the duration of their games in phase one of the Champions League (from which they were eliminated). Why? Their "Latin temperament", according to ITV's Barry Venison. The identity of the players sent off? Zinedine Zidane, Edgar Davids, Edwin van der Sar and Darko Kovacevic . . . a French man, two Dutch men and a Serb.
