Qualifying School:Simon Thornton and Jonathan Caldwell both won through to the the European Tour Q school final next week after surviving stage two in Spain yesterday.
Waterville's David Higgins may yet join the pair, but he must come out top of a seven-man play-off for the final spot at Sherry Golf in Jerez tomorrow morning.
Higgins played his way out of an automatic place after finishing with a three-over 75 to finish in a tie for 19th spot.
Thornton closed with a level-par 72 at Arcos Gardens to finish in a tie for eighth on seven-under, while Caldwell finished in a five-way tie for 15th spot at Montenmedio after a final round of 71.
