LEINSTER COLLEGES SH 'A' FINAL/St Kieran's College 2-9 Kilkenny CBS 1-10:SECOND-HALF goals from Cormac Wafer and Thomas O'Hanrahan helped St Kieran's wipe out a three-point interval deficit and win a third title in a row against a gallant Kilkenny CBS in Nowlan Park on Saturday.

CBS started in determined fashion, and were 1-1 to 0-1 up after seven minutes Kevin Kenny scoring a terrific individual goal.Kieran’s responded to cut the gap back to 1-4 to 0-4 at half-time.

They took the lead in the 40th minute when Wafer’s effort evaded Darragh Holohan’s grasp, and looked to have one hand on the cup when O’Hanrahan buried an unstoppable shot to the net.

Again CBS came back, earning a penalty but Owen McGrath’s effort was pushed over the bar by College full-back Robert Lennon, and Kieran’s win was sealed by a late point from Michael Donnelly.
