As Roma midfielder Daniele Conti, the son of Italy's 1982 World Cup hero Bruno, was banned for three matches yesterday for spitting in the face of AC Milan striker Oliver Bierhoff.
Conti jnr had denied the charge immediately after Sunday's match, but the Italian football authorities took their decision from the referee's report.
The length of the ban was due to his "particularly insulting behaviour towards an opponent and because of the part of the body where the spit landed," the disciplinary report said.
Frenchman Zinedine Zidane was also suspended for one match and Dutch team-mate Edgar Davids for two after the Juventus pair were both sent off in Sunday night's 1-0 win over Inter Milan.
