SOUND MAN made a winning seasonal reappearance at Tipperary yesterday when coming home by 20 lengths under Richard Dunwoody in the Croom House Stud Chase.
Despite getting close to the fifth fence, and a further mistake four out, Edward O'Grady's multiple scorer made virtually all to annihilate his five rivals with ease.
"He was probably a bit fresh and that was the first fence he jumped this year. He will go for the Fortria Chase at Navan next month (November 2nd) before going on for the Tingle Creek at Sandown later this year," said O'Grady.
British raiders Wizard King and Cool Edge finished first and second respectively in the featured Group Three Cool more Stud Home Of Champions Concorde Stakes.
Mark Prescott's Wizard King broke smartly under George Duffield to soon lead and the partnership quickened the tempo after the turn-in to easily hold off Cool Edge by one and a half lengths. Idris finished best of the home challenge, a half-length adrift.

Permit holder John Nallen's day went from bad to worse when he was fined £200 for barging into the stewards room uninvited, for his behaviour towards the stewards and the manner of his departure when the door was damaged. He was also ordered to pay for the repair to the door.
