Bray Wanderers 0 Shamrock Rovers 2: Shamrock Rovers have moved to second in the eircom League Premier Division, for the time being at least, after a Tadhg Purcell brace at the Carlisle Grounds.

Purcell, who scored in the defeat at Bohemians during the week, pounced in the seventh minute to open the scoring and the visitors went on to dominate with goalkeeper Barry Murphy rarely tested.

Purcell sealed the win 10 minutes from time, capitalising on some poor defending from Steven Gough before firing under Steve Williams.

The result moves Rovers ahead of Drogheda in the standings, three points behind leaders St Patrick's Athletic.
