Soccer:Bohemians will be entered into the Champions League while St Patrick's Athletic, Derry City and Sligo Rovers will compete in the Europe League (Uefa Cup) for next season after the four League of Ireland clubs were awarded Uefa licences today.

The FAI’s club licensing committee awarded the licences and all are subject to the grounds meeting the criteria for a Uefa Category 2 stadium.

As the Showgrounds in Sligo has not been used in Uefa competition since the new Uefa regulation came into force two years ago, a delegate from Uefa will visit Sligo early in May to determine its compliance.
