Nicolas Anelka finally found his goal touch as Bolton moved up to third place in the Premiership with a 3-1 win over his former club Arsenal at the Reebok Stadium.

The Frenchman had failed to find the target in his first 10 league games he scored twice to sink the Gunners, who slipped to sixth.

Abdoulaye Faye headed home from El-Hadji Diouf's ninth-minute corner before Anelka's spectacular first in the 45th minute.

He latched on to Kevin Davies' pass, cut in from the left and unleashed an unstoppable, swerving shot into the top corner from 25 yards.
