Coach Jim Telfer has opted to name his strongest possible line-up for Saturday's international with Argentina at Murrayfield, which represents Scotland's biggest test before their World Cup opener against South Africa on October 3rd.

Centre James McLaren is the only new cap in the side, coming into replace John Leslie.

With out-half Gregor Townsend and flanker Martin Leslie both resting injuries, Duncan Hodge and Peter Walton have been called in.

Both Townsend and Leslie are expected to be back in harness for the clash with Romania at Hampden Park on August 28th.
