RUSSIA won the four nation tournament in Valetta, Malta, after Dmitry Radchenko inspired them to a 3-1 win in yesterday's final match against Slovenia.

It followed their 2-0 and 3-0 victories over Malta and Iceland respectively.

Radchenko, a constant threat to the Slovenian defence as he switched positions, supplied the crosses which brought goals in the opening 18 minutes for Igor Simontenkov and Andrei Alenichev.

The Russians, playing without six key players, dominated in midfield and made sure of victory with a second goal by Simontenkov in the 77th minute.

Slovenia's consolation goal was scored from the penalty spot in the 87th minute by Primoz Gliha after Ramiz Mamedov had handled in the area.

Iceland scored all their goals in the first half on their way to a 4-1 win over Malta in the final match.
