Rugby:Ulster's Dan Tuohy has agreed a new two-year deal with the province. The Irish international, who missed out of selection against South Africa this weekend, will remain at the club until June 2015.
Tuohy joined Ulster in 2009 and has gradually established himself as a key member of the side, not least in the province’s memorable run to the Heineken Cup final last season. Born in England, the 27-year-old has previously played for Gloucester and the Exeter Chiefs.
“I came over here four years ago and settled immediately,” he said today. “I feel very comfortable here and it’s like a home from home for me. Ulster has looked after me really well and I’m delighted to be staying on. The club has made a dramatic transformation in the short time that I’ve been here and it’s fantastic to be part of.
“We did well last year in the Heineken Cup and are hoping to go one better this season. It’s something I really want to be part of and I never really thought about leaving. There would have been a lot of unfinished business if I had left so that never even entered my mind. I’m thoroughly looking forward to helping Ulster be successful over the next few years.”
