MICHAEL ROBERTS roared back with a winner at Yarmouth yesterday. Former champion Roberts had been sidelined for seven weeks after fracturing his left wrist in two places following a fall at Sandown. But the 42-year-old South African showed he had lost none of his dash when bringing Secret Aly from last to first inside the final three furlongs of the Golden Jubilee Challenge Trophy Handicap to beat Rory by half a length. _ Roberts swings back into Group One action at the Curragh on Saturday when he partners York winner Fantastic Fellow for Brittain in the National Stakes.
Roberts eagerly awaiting his return to the big stage, said: "I didn't see the horse win at York as I was at home but I saw him work the other morning and he looked a pretty good horse. Obviously it's a big step up in class but he's got an engine."
