CRYSTAL PALACE will be looking to go one better after reaching the final of the division one play-offs for a second successive season.

The Eagles survived a frenzied late rally by Wolves at Molineux to book their place at Wembley on May 26th.

Palace, beaten in last season's final by Leicester, looked to be easing through when David Hopkin cancelled out a first-half goal from Mark Atkins, but an 85th minute goal from Adrian Williams set up a nerve-jangling finale.

In the end Palace's 3-1 advantage from Saturday's first encounter proved decisive as they edged through 4-3 on aggregate.

Wolves scored when Geyff Thomas, operating out of position at left wing-back, found Atkins with a superb pass.

The defender-cum-midfielder kept his head and drilled a left-footed shot past Nash into the far corner of the net.

Palace brought on Dougie Freedman, their two-goal hero of the first leg, for Dyer, but it was Hopkin who gave Palace breathing space.

He won the ball in a challenge with Bull and then the centre of the pitch opened up as he burst through and fired a low, left-footed drive past the exposed Stowell.

Williams restored Wolves lead on the night in the 85th minute.
