Donegal fighter earns unanimous decision against James de La Rosa on Canelo card

Jason Quigley maintained his perfect professional record with an impressive win over James de La Rosa in Las Vegas on Saturday night.

Fighting on the undercard of the Saúl Álvarez and Amir Khan fight, Quigley delivered a composed performance in front of a large crowd to make it 11 wins from 11 fights.

The Ballybofey man comprehensively outboxed the 28-year-old Mexican, who came into the fight with a 23-3 record, and took all three cards 100-90.

The fight will prove a a valuable learning curve for Quigley, who was forced to go beyond four rounds for the first time in his professional career.

But while he began to tire as he was forced to go the distance for the first time Quigley remained composed until the final bell and recorded his finest win to date.
