Soccer: Having been beaten in two cup finals by the current league leaders in the last seven months, champions Cork City have the chance to reassert themselves with victory over new arch-rivals Drogheda United at Turner's Cross tonight as victory would leapfrog them back to the top of the table, writes Paul Buttner.

Cork have goalkeeper Michael Devine back from suspension but are without left back Danny Murphy, sent off in a scuffle at the end of the Setanta Cup final, though this ban is for a red card against Cobh Ramblers in a League Cup tie. Defender Graham Gartland is suspended for Drogheda, who will be without injured Paul Keegan, James Keddy and Sami Ristila.

With someone dropping points at Turner's Cross, Derry City would go second with victory over suspension and injury-hit Dublin City at the Brandywell.

Dublin, furious with the match officials following their 4-0 defeat to Cork last time out, are without goalkeeper Gary Rogers and defender Ben Whelehan, both sent off, while midfielder Gavin McDonnell is also suspended and striker Robbie Collins is out with a knee injury. David Conroy makes his full debut in goal while captain Stuart Malcolm returns to their central defence.
