Mayo Under-21 0-14 Sligo Under-21 1-9 Conor Mortimer bagged 11 points as Mayo powered their way to victory over Sligo in a gripping Connacht Under-21 football championship semi-final last night at Kilcoyne Park, Tubbercurry.

Sligo were in with a great chance when Brian Curran scored a goal in the 56th minute. JP Henry pointed in stoppage-time to reduce the deficit, but Mayo held out to book their final place against reigning champions Galway.
