Moate CS1-15 St Patrick's, Navan 1-10/Aet; 1-8 to 1-8 after 60 mins:ST PATRICK'S, Navan, bowed out at their local Páirc Tailteann yesterday when five points without reply in the second period of extra-time put Moate into the quarter-finals. Moate hit 10 wides while wind assisted in the opening half hour. With Seán Tobin spearheading their bid, St Patrick's seemed to have done enough to advance until substitute Darren Scanlon saved Moate to leave the scores 1-8 each after the hour.

It was 1-10 apiece at the next break before Moate’s use of the wind with two more Scanlon points securing victory.
