Disaster struck for St Conleth's yesterday as Marian College triumphed in the final moments of this Senior Cup tie at Williamstown yesterday.

Brian O'Connor had sent over what looked to be the decisive score of the game with 10 minutes remaining after Marion had transgressed in front of their posts.

Marian persevered and the defining moment came when a Conleth's scrum five yards from their own line went horribly wrong. The Marian pack pushed them back and when the ball broke free, David O'Reilly was on hand to make the vital touchdown.
