MOTOR SPORT:Jorge Lorenzo captivated his home fans in practice for tomorrow's Catalan Grand Prix.
After taking up the MotoGP championship lead following a dominant win 12 days ago in the wet in Le Mans, Lorenzo was comfortably the fastest man again around Barcelona’s Circuit de Catalunya.
Casey Stoner was quickest in the opening 45-minute session with a lap of one minute 42.775secs on a track where he cruised to victory a year ago en route to his second world title.
Stoner, however, struggled with set-up issues in the second run and instead it was Majorcan star Lorenzo who shone with a time of 1:42.077 posted towards the end of second practice on his Yamaha. Alvaro Bautista made it a Spanish one-two at the top of the times on his Honda Gresini.
