Limerick 2-16 Clare 2-13:Mick O'Dwyer's Clare were stunned by a lively Limerick who snatched late goals to force extra-time and then proved the much better side.

A few minutes from the end of normal time Clare looked destined for a crack at Kerry next week when they led by 2-10 to 0-8, but Ian Ryan and Seamus O’Carroll forced extra-time with late goals.

Limerick dominated from there with substitute Darragh O’Connor inspirational.

He put his side in front and, by the end, Limerick outscored Clare by six points to three in extra-time in their first outing of the year.
