A WET stage two of the Dublin Bus-sponsored Dublin Wheelers' five-day race at Clonee last evening went to Brian Lennon of UCD, but Andy Roche is the new leader from Stephen O'Sullivan with Christopher Kimmage now third.
A group of 12 of the 70 starters broke away on the circuit of 42 miles that went over the Hill of Tara but Roche and O'Sullivan got up to them. Then, with three miles to go, Lennon, Anto Moran and O'Sullivan went on and Lennon led Moran across the line to take the winner's five-second bonus.
Although Roche and O'Sullivan are on the same time overall Roche has the leader's jersey on stage three this evening at Dundrum because he was faster in the opening stage time trial at Howth.
