Last Sunday, Catherine O'Donoghue, playing off a handicap of 19, secured the president's prize for the second successive season when she shot 40 points.

And that wasn't the only double being celebrated. As the golfing season drew to a close Laura Furlong was confirmed as Beaufort's golfer of the year for the second year in-a-row.

Meanwhile, at Craddockstown, there was also a double winner as Mary Kearney, who earlier in the season had won the singles matchplay, also claimed the golfer of the year crown. The fourball matchplay title was won by Deirdre Brennan and Susan Flynn.
