MUNSTER MF FINAL: Holders Kerry ripped Tipperary apart in the Munster minor football final at Thurles yesterday to record an easy win.

Tipperary were never in the hunt as Kerry riddled them with scores in a devastating opening 20 minutes.

Donnacha Walshe set the ball rolling with a goal in the second minute. They added six points without reply and then Colin O'Connor had their second goal in the 15th minute.

There was no way back for Tipperary. A goal by Paul Brennan in the 30th minute gave them heart but Kerry led 2-10 to 1-2 at the break.

Twenty four hours later at the same venue, Wicklow, came from behind to defeat Kerry by 2-13 to 2-10 in a well contested game.
