Portmarnock's lack of match practice told as impressive Marian College progressed through to the next round of the Junior Cup at the Belvedere grounds.

David Kearney, who represented Irish Schools at `A' level, inflicted maximum damage in the number eight jersey. Portmarnock improved in the second half but, 22-3 down at the break, had too much to do.
