Keane questions attitudes at Old Trafford

SOCCER: Roy Keane has launched a scathing attack on his Manchester United team-mates, claiming some are failing to give 100 per cent to the cause.

The furious United captain watched Saturday's 2-0 defeat at Norwich on television after being left out of Alex Ferguson's squad to ensure he is fit for Sunday's FA Cup semi-final with Newcastle.

Ferguson has not spoken publicly about the Norwich setback. He was so angered by the 2-0 defeat that he refused all post-match interview requests, including MUTV.

But Keane has spoken out. "People are sick of excuses now," he told MUTV. "We are running out of them anyway.

"Everyone needs to look at themselves and ask whether they are giving 100 per cent. I am not sure all the players can say they are. That is a crime in itself."

He was adamant that Ferguson should not be blamed. "The manager provides everything for the players. Everything they want, they get. All they have to do is come into training with the attitude of trying to help the team improve.

"It's not about individuals. You can have the most talented players but if you do not play as a team, I guarantee you will win absolutely nothing."

Louis Saha will miss the semi-final and is probably out for two weeks. His comeback at Norwich ended in the 22nd minute through a calf injury.
