The six-year-old was again made odds-on in the EBF Tattersalls (Ire) Mares Beginners Chase but fell at the penultimate fence when five lengths off the leaders. Victory went to the Davy Russell-ridden Janiste, who put in a fine round of jumping and headed Mill Lane Lady before the last to score by three and a half lengths.

Barry Cash took the opening two and a quarter mile hurdle when Over The Furze found a bit extra in the final 50 yards to touch off Doon Run at the finish. However, Cash was out of luck later, missing three rides after injuring his left arm when Lafontom fell at the last in the two mile handicap hurdle.

The jackpot pool of £5,682.50 was again not won and will be carried forward to the next meeting here on February 3rd, while punters were also on the receiving end when a power-cut after the fourth race left the course without electricity for the remaining three events.
