TREVOR HORGAN, injured in a fall at the Punchestown festival, has been transferred to the National Rehabilitation Hospital in Dun Laoighaire.

Turf Club Medical Officer, Dr Walter Halley, said: "Trevor has a weakness on the right hand side of his upper and lower limbs and will undergo intensive physiotherapy. It will be some weeks before we can say how long his recovery will be."

Already in the Dun Laoighaire hospital is Shane Broderick, paralysed after a fall at Fairyhouse. Halley reported a "slight improvement" in his condition.

Dermot Weld's well regarded Derby hope Stage Affair will miss next Sunday's Derrinstown's Derby Trial at Leopardstown. Weld will instead run Casey Tibbs in the race.
