Hemingway misses race

Newmarket 2,000 Guineas favourite Hemingway is to miss tomorrow's Prix de la Salamandre at Longchamp

Newmarket 2,000 Guineas favourite Hemingway is to miss tomorrow's Prix de la Salamandre at Longchamp. The unbeaten juvenile, trained by Aidan O'Brien, is set to have a week off due to an infection.

O'Brien said yesterday: "Hemingway has an infection in a hock and his blood wasn't right. He'll have a week off now."

However, the Ballydoyle trainer will be doubly represented in the Group One contest by the Railway Stakes winner, Honours List, and King Charlemagne.

Michael Kinane rides Honours List while Olivier Peslier steps in for the ride on King Charlemagne.
