BOXING:Ricky Hatton's IBO welterweight title defence against Mexico's Jose Luis Castillo in Las Vegas on June 23rd will be screened live on Setanta Sports 1.
This is a notable coup for the Irish sports channel, as Sky Sports pay-per-view service have televised Hatton's most recent fights.
Hatton will be attempting to extend his undefeated record to 43 fights against the former WBO lightweight champion.
Setanta Sports 1 is available as part of the Setanta package of nine sports channels.
Lynch best of Irish
EQUESTRIAN:Denis Lynch, who has stolen a march on all his rivals almost throughout the five-day German fixture at Mannheim, was once again best of the Irish when finishing sixth in yesterday's Grand Prix, writes Grania Willis.
The Tipperary rider was clear with Lancelot, crossing the line in 50.04 seconds, almost six seconds off the pace set by Swiss winner Markus Fuchs.
Cameron Hanley was four seconds faster than his compatriot with SIEC Royal Star, but a fence down left him further down the order in eighth.
Corrales dies in crash
BOXING:Former WBC and WBO lightweight champion Diego Corrales has died after a motorcycle crash in Las Vegas.
Corrales (29), who also won a world title at super- featherweight, was reported to have collided with a car at high speed 10 miles west of Las Vegas late on Monday.
The American's gruelling victory over Jose Luis Castillo in 2005, in which he was knocked down twice before gaining a 10th-round stoppage, was voted by the Boxing Writers' Association of America as the fight of the year.
