Jack Kennedy, golf director of the American Ireland Fund presented a cheque for £35,000 to Alex Magill, captain of Clontarf golf Club and his fellow trustees of the Down's Syndrome Trust, Tony Swan and Noel Synnott at Clontarf last week. The £35,000 was netted from their Tournament run at the Ocean Edge, Brewster, Boston Mass, last month. The proceeds from this hands across the sea project will go towards clearing the debt on the Children's Holiday Home facility in Rush.
