Gullit's ex-wives club

Poor Ruud Gullit. Last week he revealed why he lost the plot when he was Newcastle manager - it was all his ex-wives' fault. Read on.

"Cristina phoned saying she had terrible hair loss and needed a wig. I had to buy a very expensive one, costing £3,000. She didn't have the money for it so I bought the bloody thing. Guess what? She turned up as a Playboy centrefold with that wig on." And then there was his other ex-wife Yvonne. "Every time I wanted to go out or had to go away, Yvonne would lay down on the mat and block the front door. During my life with her I had to cope with massive stress. It was so severe it was having an effect on my mental state."

And there we were thinking it was Alan Shearer who was the source of his distress.
